About the Recipe
Originating from the Peranakan culture, this delicately spiced noodle soup is one of Southeast Asia’s most sought-after dishes. This moreish curry has a distinctive coconut flavour with savoury and citrus notes and a long warming heat.

150g prawns (shelled, raw) or your choice of protein

Preparation
Place the noodles in a bowl, pour in boiling water, cover and leave to soften (5mins).
In a saucepan, over a low heat, mix the prawns with the laksa paste. Ensure the prawns are fully coated with the paste.
Add the coconut milk and water. Simmer until the prawns and pink and cooked through.
Wash the noodles in fresh water to remove the starch, drain and add to the pan. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the noodles are fully cooked. Ladle into bowls and serve hot.
